അബോർഷൻ : നിയമവിധേയമാക്കപ്പെട്ട ശിശുബലിയും ആധുനിക യുഗത്തിലെ നിശബ്ദ കൂട്ടക്കൊലയും
ഭരണഘടനകളും നിയമനിർമ്മാണ സഭകളും പാസാക്കുന്ന നിയമങ്ങൾ പലപ്പോഴും സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ധാർമ്മികതയെ പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നില്ല. അതിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഉദാഹരണമാണ് ഗർഭച്ഛിദ്രം (Abortion).
ഒരു രാജ്യം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഭരണകൂടം നിയമപരമായി അനുമതി നൽകി എന്നത് കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ധാർമ്മികമായി ശരിയാകുന്നില്ല.
മനുഷ്യജീവൻ എന്നത് കേവലം ഒരു നിയമത്തിന്റെയോ ഭൂരിപക്ഷ തീരുമാനത്തിന്റെയോ പരിധിയിൽ വരുന്ന ഒന്നല്ല. എത്രയൊക്കെ നയം വ്യക്തമാക്കി മറച്ചുപിടിച്ചാലും “അബോർഷൻ എന്നത് ഒരു ശിശുബലി തന്നെയാണ്”.
ഇവിടെ “ശിശുബലി” എന്ന പദം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് മതപരമായ ബലിയർപ്പണത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥത്തിലല്ല; മറിച്ച് മുതിർന്നവരുടെ തീരുമാനങ്ങൾക്കും സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടി നിരപരാധിയായ ഒരു ജീവൻ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു എന്ന അർത്ഥത്തിലാണ്.
കത്തോലിക്ക സഭയുടെ പഠനം
കത്തോലിക്ക സഭ ഗർഭധാരണം നടക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ നിമിഷം മുതൽ മനുഷ്യജീവൻ വിശുദ്ധവും ലംഘിക്കാനാവാത്തതുമാണെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. കത്തോലിക്ക സഭയുടെ മതബോധന ഗ്രന്ഥം (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2270) ഇപ്രകാരം പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു:
“മനുഷ്യജീവൻ ഗർഭധാരണത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ നിമിഷം മുതൽ പൂർണ്ണമായ ആദരവും സംരക്ഷണവും അർഹിക്കുന്നു.”

ഹൃദയമിടിപ്പ്
ഗർഭധാരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് വെറും 18 മുതൽ 21 ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ ഉദരത്തിലെ ശിശുവിന്റെ ഹൃദയം മിടിച്ചുതുടങ്ങുന്നുണ്ട്.
ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ജീവൻ അളക്കുന്നത് ഹൃദയമിടിപ്പിലൂടെയാണെങ്കിൽ, ആ ജീവനെ തുടക്കത്തിലേ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നത് കൊലപാതകമല്ലാതെ മറ്റെന്താണ്?
- ഉത്പന്നമല്ല, മനുഷ്യജീവൻ
കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കാനോ വേണ്ടാന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയാനോ ഉള്ള ഒരു ഉപഭോഗവസ്തുവോ വിപണിയിലെ ഉത്പന്നമോ അല്ല.
സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ അനുകൂലമല്ല എന്ന കാരണത്താൽ ഒരു ജീവനെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നത് സ്വാർത്ഥതയാണ്. സാമ്പത്തിക ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകളോ സാമൂഹിക സാഹചര്യങ്ങളോ ഒരു ജീവന്റെ നാശത്തിന് ധാർമ്മിക ന്യായീകരണമാകുന്നില്ല.
സ്വന്തം ശരീരത്തിന്മേലുള്ള അവകാശം (Bodily Autonomy) എന്ന വാദം ഉയർത്തി മറ്റൊരു ജീവനെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കുന്നത് പ്രകൃതിനിയമത്തിന് വിരുദ്ധമാണെന്നാണ് പ്രോ-ലൈഫ് പ്രസ്ഥാനം വാദിക്കുന്നത്.
- ചരിത്രപരമായ കൂട്ടക്കൊലകളുമായുള്ള താരതമ്യം

ഏറ്റവും നിസ്സഹായരായ മനുഷ്യർ

അബോർഷനെ എതിർക്കുക എന്നത് മുദ്രാവാക്യങ്ങളിൽ മാത്രം ഒതുങ്ങരുത്.
പ്രതിസന്ധി നേരിടുന്ന ഗർഭിണികൾക്ക് സാമ്പത്തിക, മാനസിക, സാമൂഹിക, ആത്മീയ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്ന സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ ഓരോ സമൂഹത്തിലും വളർന്നുവരണം.

ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിനെയും അബോർഷനിലേക്ക് തള്ളിവിടാത്ത സമൂഹം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയാണ് നമ്മുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം.
